Moon has drawn from close collaboration with Lebanese craftsmen with a long heritage of brass work. As an artist would use paint on canvas, the designer uses copper as a medium to decorate the brass, achieving a beautiful contrast between the two metals. The pieces are then polished and left untreated which allows it to develop patina overtime, revealing the true nature and characteristics of the material.
In this table the designer wanted to represent the pattern that human beings drew into society. Everyone follows the same path to belong in a ctitious law that is imposed on us. But like in every system, there is always someone who decides to be an outlaw.
In Gaia, nature has a similar pattern, like a flower growing in a crack of concrete on an old building destroyed by war. Like us, nature always finds a way to flourish.
